Important ETH Upgrade Information
On August 4th, 2021, ETH (Ethereum) London hard fork will be activated. This latest upgrade will be part of a sequence of non-backward compatible hard forks, which have been planned from the beginning by the developers as intermediate stations on the way to Ethereum’s final evolution: Serenity.
The London update will make considerable changes to the ETH transaction fee system. The ETH London update will set up the network’s evolution, called Ethereum 2.0, which will be a complete transition from the POW (proof-of-work) consensus model to POS (proof of stake). The ETH London hard fork will launch new EIPs (Ethereum Improvement Proposals), which are set to make the blockchain more user-friendly as well as competitively priced.
The ETH pairs will continue to be offered to our clients provided that our liquidity providers continue to offer pricing and execution. There is a possibility that the ETH pairs will go to Close Only mode for some hours during the process.
Please keep in mind that traders will only be able to close the open (existing) positions under the Close Only mode.
