PSV, the Dutch Football Club, is the First European Heavyweight to Hold BTC
Institutions, governments, and millions of individuals across the globe hold Bitcoin. PSV, the Dutch footballing giant, has BTC in its balance following the club's partnership with Anycoin Direct—a Bitcoin exchange.
News sources reveal that the ramp will be sponsoring PSV for the next two seasons, and as part of the deal, the exchange paid a portion of its sponsorship fees in BTC. As a result of this arrangement, the club is the first in Europe, ahead of other elites like Real Madrid or the European Champions, Chelsea, to accept BTC.
The club's executives plan to hold on to crypto because the future that the cryptocurrency world offers is promising, according to Frans Janssen—the commercial director of PSV. He added that they are continuously innovating, and cryptocurrency sits well with them.
Even still, they are setting the pace, paving the way for the rest to follow suit at a time when Bitcoin and crypto, in general, continue to find exposure across the globe. It is estimated that less than 15 percent of the global population knows what crypto is, and even a smaller percentage is invested in the high-performing coin.
CryptoAltum supports the trading of several cryptocurrencies, including BTC. Traders can access high leverage of up to 500X without commission charges.
